SMA TALENTA Team Brings Home the Bacon

A day to celebrate! This was the cheerful shout of the SMA TALENTA students who grabbed three (3) rewarding trophies from the English Days Competition held at Parahyangan University on February 18, 2011.

The students were overjoyed about the result of the contest since they were able to bag two (2) First Place award and one (1) Third Place prize. Laurencia Bella, Grade 10, won the First Prize for an all out performance in the VJ Hunt category. While Nicholas Zherenovski, Grade 11, won the Third Prize for the same event. Quiz Bee team, Evan William Chandra, Christian Heryakusuma and Clarissa Maretha Sulaiman (all Grade 11), competently won the First Prize.

“It was a nice experience, I and my friends had fun during the competition and we barely even felt nervous” said Evan (Quiz Bee contestant). SMA TALENTA participants all agreed to join the competition to experience English fun as they regarded themselves English enthusiasts. Laurencia Bella (VJ Hunt first place) said, “I like learning English but the experience I had during the competition made me love English, now, I become more passionate in watching and listening to movies, videos and songs which are in English. I also gained more confidence in speaking it.”
